Malone said it was during the run of “Menopause” that she pitched Welk show producer Sean Coogan the idea of reuniting the quartet for “Nunsense.” It was a show that all four women had always wanted to do but never had the opportunity. ![]() “We couldn’t stop laughing whenever we were together. “It was such a mutual admiration society,” she said. On two-show days in 2019, the four women would have backyard barbecues together at the home Malone shares with her husband, Moonlight Stage Productions’ producing artistic director Steven Glaudini. Malone described the bond between the four “Menopause” co-stars as a tight relationship that extended beyond the stage. The idea to produce “Nunsense” came from Malone, a Vista resident who grew up on the Moonlight Amphitheatre stage and first met Bowman when they performed together as children at San Diego Junior Theatre.
